RENT INCENTIVE for SOCIAL ENTERPRISES

We are pleased to introduce the Rent Incentive for Social Enterprises scheme – or 'RISE' – at 168 Electric.

RISE is a rental affordability scheme designed to benefit commercial enterprises who are demonstrating ethical awareness and creative initiative, who are offering ongoing and tangible support to relevant community and/or environmental issues. Eligibility is considered upon application, and is granted via an objective points-based system. All applicants must also provide full evidence that their business scope fulfils the following definition of a 'social enterprise':

 

A social enterprise is a profitable organisation that is directly involved in producing goods and/or providing services, and applies commercial strategies to offer improvements in human and/or environmental wellbeing. This social enterprise competes alongside other businesses in the same marketplace, but clearly sets out in its own business principles, their priority to benefit social and/or environmental issues. They are self-sustaining and do not rely on donations (i.e. they are not charities).

GLASSHOUSE STUDIOS

– OPENING AUGUST 2016 –

Glasshouse Studios is a new co-working artspace, designed and reserved for local creatives residing in Hong Kong.

Situated over two upper floors of our building, tenants will be able to enjoy newly renovated studios with high ceilings and abundant natural daylight, 24-hour access, broadband WIFI, personal mailboxes, and a shared pantry and lounge. A separate Conference & Gallery Space is also available for hire, suitable for product launches, art exhibitions, and general meetings with clients.

NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-LEASE

Rental rates start from $7,500 per month, with contract terms ranging from six months to two years, renewable. Suitable applicants may be solo freelance creatives or small business owners employing a team of 1-5 persons, working in the following industries:
